Growing up in rural New Zealand, I value the opportunities that open spaces provide for children to learn, play, and grow. I also understand the unique position of rural schools operating within a larger city-based education system. As a board member, I aim to be a strong advocate for rural education, ensuring that our teachers are supported to uncover the unique nature of each child. My focus is on fostering pathways for growth, care, and collaboration, so every student can thrive in both their learning and their community.
